Before you trade

1. Add the Merlin Mainnet Network.

• It is recommended to use the OKX Wallet for lower gas fees; if using MetaMask, you can manually edit and adjust the gas to about 0.08. The AA wallet is still being adapted and temporarily cannot be used. The following tutorial uses OKX Wallet as an example. You can add Merlin Network through Chainlist: https://chainlist.org/chain/4200

• Or you can add it manually: Open the OKX Wallet, click on the network icon in the top right corner.

• Click on Custom Network → Add Custom Network. Enter the following information:

1. Cross-Chain Bridging of Funds.

• First send some BTC from centralized exchange to your wallet on Arbitrum / BNB chain.

• Visit cross-chain bridge https://meson.fi/ and connect your wallet.
• Use Meson bridge as shown below to bridge your BTC to the Merlin chain.

• PS. We would suggest you to bridge BTC on ARB chain or BNB chain to the Merlin chain for lower gas fees.

Start Trading

1. Visit the Surf Protocol website and connect your wallet.

• Visit https://surf.one/trade (Please confirm the website address)
• Click on "Connect Wallet" to log in to Surf Protocol to start trading or LP yield farming.

1. Opening Positions, Closing Positions, Adding Margin.

• Opening a position: Enter the amount for the position, select the desired leverage, and click "Open Position." An example of opening long at the market price is used. (Stop loss/profit amounts can be set in advance when placing an order)

• Closing a Position: After successfully opening a position, you can find the option to close it on the right of the position information (as shown in the figure below); if you can't find it, it might be because the device screen is too narrow. You can find the close position button by dragging the black bar below the position frame to the right area.

Please note that if you use BTC as collateral, after you have successfully closed a position, your BTC will be converted to WBTC.

• Modifying Margin: As shown in the figure, click the edit button next to the position to add or reduce the margin.

1. Vault - LP Yield Farming.

To provide liquidity, please:

• Visit Surf Vault (https://surf.one/vault)
• Select the token you want to deposit into the vault in the “Buy” tab.

• Once you successfully deposit, you will see your LP token.

To remove liquidity, please:

• Visit Surf Vault (https://surf.one/vault)
• Select the token you want to withdraw under the “Sell” tab.
